UNIOSUN expresses plan to hold online Matriculation for fresh students (See Memo)

In line with measures of government to contain the CORONAVIRUS pandemic in Nigeria, Osun State University has expressed plans to hold an online matriculation for fresh students of the university.

An internal memorandum shared to social media groups on Monday 4th of May, 2020, revealed that the online matriculation for 100 level students will come up on Wednesday, 13th  May, 2020.

The memo addressed to the students reads "Notice is hereby given to all fresh students of Osun State University that there is need to officially admit fresh students in to the university as a way of tradition.”

“However, in a view of the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic which would not allow such gathering at period like this, the university has resolved to conduct an online matriculation for the students"

"All fresh students are to pay two thousand, five hundred naira each as matriculation fees, through electronic platform and present the print out to their college secretaries/faculty officers for the collections of academic gowns at a later date in order to take pictures."

According to the memo, the students are also expected to have their matriculation oath form filled online and submitted online while hard/original copies would be submitted at the respective departments when they resume normal academic activities.
