The Lagos government has lamented that all the participants at African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) are likely to have been contacted to coronavirus (COVID-19). This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi, via a tweet on Tuesday.
However, he explained that the participants may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos at the hotel where the event held on March 14.#COVID19 Lagos Alert🔊!— Prof. Akin Abayomi (@ProfAkinAbayomi) March 24, 2020

Abayomi, further asked them not to panic but observe strict self-isolation in order to prevent possible further spread of the disease.
Mr Abayomi, also appealed to all the participants to call the state government’s tollfree line on: 08000corona, if they notice any of the COVID-19 related symptoms.
And the commissioner also urged residents of the state to play their part in the efforts to curb the spread of the dangerous coronavirus by practicing social distancing.
