SHOCKING!! Thugs Set Imo 'INEC Office' on fire

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), office in Orlu local government area of Imo state has been set on fire by suspected thugs on Monday, 3rd February, 2020.

While confirming the incident, Orlando Ikeokwu, the police spokesman in the state, disclosed that the state police commissioner has since mobilized security operatives to the area at the time of the incident.

Mr Ikeokwu, however confirmed the incident but the cause of fire outbreak was unknown at the time given the report. Further added that the state commissioner of police (CP)' has dispatched security officials to the scene of the incident. And moreover the deputy commissioner of Police in charge of operations led the squad to the scene.”

It was further added that the incident is believed to be in connected to the recent Supreme court judgement which sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor of the state and announced Hope Uzodinma as winner.
