Wizkid’s record deal with RCA is the biggest deal ever in African - Grammy


International superstar singer and CEO Starboy Record, Wizkid, has been reported to have hit big with the 2016 deal he signed with RCA Records which remains the biggest music deal yet by an African music artist.

It was reported via the official website of  Grammy Awards that Drake’s 2016 international hit One Dance, once the most-streamed song on Spotify was the stepping stone to bring him to on the path of becoming one of Africa’s biggest music export. An excerpt from the report saying; Currently, Afrobeats is the next international sound sweeping pop music.

It was further added that Major stars like Kanye West and Rick Ross have all collaborated with Afrobeats artist.

It was reported that Drake’s 2016 international hit is ’One Dance’ and the most streamed song on Spotify, which featured Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Wizkid, who sign with RCA Records and it was revealed that the deal was the biggest record deal ever for an African artist.


However, the singer who is identified as Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has since been trending on social media platforms as Nigerians take their turns to react to the reports
