Tambuwal has becomes PDP governor’s forum chairman (Read Details)


Nigeria’s opposing party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have appointed the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, as the chairman of the party governors’ Forum.

Tambuwal replaces outgoing Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, who was absent at the meeting and whose tenure will elapse on February 3, 2020. This was disclosed via a statement released by Mohammad Bello, the special adviser to governor Tambuwal.

It was reported that, Tambuwal’s appointment was unanimous as all the governors in attendance at the 88th National Executive Council party's which was held at the PDP National Secretariat, located at Wadata Plaza, Abuja, where they resolved and appointed him as their new chairman.

While accepting the responsibility, Tambuwal pledged to move the party forward.

However, his predecessor, Dickson, was conspicuously absent at the NEC meeting.
