Naira Marley opts for out of court settlement (Read Details)

Nigerian music superstar, Naira Marley, was reportedly negotiating an ’out of court’ settlement in the alleged car theft case filed against him and three others by the Police.

Naira Marley lawyer and the lawyers representing the complainant in the case, named Mr. Adelekan Ademola, are at an advanced stage.

It was further received that the charges against the four defendants may be dropped at the next hearing of the case on January 14. If possible.

Remember that Marley’s two brothers Idris Fashola 18-years-old, Babatunde Fashola 24-years-old and their cousin, Kunle Obere 22-years-old, are facing the four count charge of conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the police from arresting Naira Marley.

It was reported that they were arraigned by the Police operatives on December 16th, 2019, before Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias of a Tinubu Chief Magistrates Court sitting in Lagos.

However, the court granted the trio N500,000 bail each with two sureties in the like sum. It was further report that the Chief Magistrate Elias has ordered the Investigative Police Officer (IPO) to produce Marley in court on December 31, 2019 so he can take his plea.
