Miyetti Allah warned southwest for supporting ’Amotekun’ over 2023 presidency

Herdsmen under the umbrella of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore have warned Southwest governors to withdraw their support for Western Nigeria Security outfit, tagged with ‘Operation Amotekun’, adding that for them to support ’Amotekun’ may affect the Southwest’s on getting the chance of Presidency in 2023.

The National Secretary of the group, Alhassan Saleh, disclosed this during an interview with newsmen on Wednesday.

He further added saying Miyetti Allah was disappointed in the South-West intelligentsia for supporting the new outfit.

In his statement, He said, ’This Amotekun scheme is political and is not the solution to the problem of insecurity facing Nigerian. He, however, added that what the SouthWest governors should have done is to continue to push for state police. And where are they expecting to get the funding to raise the organization from because some of the governors are still struggling to pay salaries.

He further added saying: It is best they give up on this idea because it may affect the chances of the South-West to produce the President in 2023.

however, the organization gives kudos to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, for describing Amotekun as an illegal outfit.

Alhassan Saleh, also disclosed that the AGF ought to have talked for a very long time instead of waiting for things to have reached an advanced stage.

He further added saying: We are in agreement with the AGF that Amotekun is illegal. And we are unhappy because it took the AGF this long-time before he react.
