Sergeant Lukmon was dismissed by NPF for killing Ramon, Wizkid’s henchman

The Nigerian Police Force, has arrested and dismissed one sergeant, Lukmon Akanbi, who allegedly shot ’Ramon Babatunde Adeniji’ who was returning from Wizkid concert.

Lagos State police command spokesman Bala Elkana, said his dismissal came after he was subjected to Orderly Room Trials, an internal disciplinary procedure in the police.

He also added that he was arraigned before the Adjudicating Officer on three counts charge against him for discreditable conduct contrary to Paragraph E (3) First Schedule, Unlawful and Unnecessary activities of Authority contrary to Paragraph Q (2) and Damage to Articles contrary to Paragraph D (1) Police Act and Regulations, Cap 370 LFN 1990.

Sergeant Lukmon, found guilty of all the charges against him and he was awarded punishment of dismissal from the Nigeria Police force. He was handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, for prosecution in conventional Court.

Adeniji, 39, was from the concert on Friday, December 27, 2019, around 4:20 am when the policeman accosted him. Elkana said a fracas ensued between the police officer, who was on patrol in the area, and Adeniji.

The Police Officer was said to have pulled the trigger of his pistol on the unarmed civilian, which fall short of professional standards on the use of Firearms, Elkana accounted.

Adeniji was rushed to the Naval Dockyard Hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
