EFCC marks ’Orji Kalu’ Sun newspaper And Other Properties For Seizure (Read Details)


Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), on Saturday, 14th December 2019, start to  fulfilling the terms of court sentence passed on the former Abia State governor, named ’Senator Orji Kalu’.

The anti-graft agency revealed that it has begun marking properties belonging to him to seek reparation for the N7.65b stolen from the Abia state treasury.


EFCC want to make sure that the properties are not dissipated, following the order of Justice Muhammed Idris of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos State, that Kalu’s properties ’Slok Nigeria Limited’, be wound up and all assets forfeited to the Federal Government.

Orji Kalu, was the Senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, and he had been convicted, with his properties ’Slok Nigeria Limited’ and Udeh Udeogu who was said to be his Director of Finance and Accounts of Abia State Government House during his regime. Orji were convicted over an amended 39-count charge bordering on conspiring and diverting the sum of N7.65bn from the state account.
